The International Association of Broadcasting (IAB) is pleased to inform that its Institutional Member, the National Chamber of Broadcasting (CANARA), held its respective General Assembly yesterday, during which its new authorities were elected.
On this occasion, Mr. Gustavo Piedra Guzmán was unanimously re-elected as President of CANARA for the 2026–2028 term.
Likewise, the following individuals were elected to serve on the Board of Directors:
Ronald Hernández Rojas, Vice President;
Andrés Quintana Espino, Secretary;
Luis César Monge Hernández, Treasurer;
Fernán Castro Monge, Board Member;
Juan Carlos Vega Rosales, Board Member;
Gerardo Mora Pana, Board Member;
Ronald Cubillo Burgos, Board Member;
José Cañas Villalón, Auditor.
IAB extends its congratulations to President Mr. Gustavo Piedra Guzmán and to the other members of the Board of Directors on their election, and reaffirms its ongoing commitment to CANARA to continue working together in defense of shared principles, in support of a private, free, and independent broadcasting sector.
